Piping and commissioning, Rio Grande do Sul
Offshore Cranes
Cranes for harsh environments

The Challenge: fabrication, installation and commissioning of pipelines and hydraulics, for use in oil drilling rigs.

Work developed by Parker Hannifin CPS, with client Palfinger Marine.

The manufacture of large equipment demands initiatives and qualified personnel, but especially the design must take into account assumptions of future maintenance of the equipment, in addition to the strict certifications that the Oil and Gas market demands from classified equipment, one of the most demanding markets in terms of requirements for technical and delivery quality.

The scope was piping fabrication, pipe routes and preparation for installation in Offshore application cranes. The manufacture of tubes (bending, cold shaping the ends) was carried out at the client's work site, at the port area of Porto Alegre / RS. Cold forming systems Parflange, EO-Form and ParKrimp (Parker Hannifin brands) were used, proving to be robust and with excellent repeatability in the assemblies.

After being manufactured and pre-fitted, the pipes were installed in the cranes, pressure tests and flushing of the systems were carried out, in preparation for the commissioning of the equipment. Start Up, adjustments, troubleshooting and preparation for F.A.T. with the client and certifiers.

In addition to the technical services provided, we made B.O.M. (Bill of Materials) adjustments, project follow-up meetings, definition of goals and schedules, team management and training. In total, 6 Knuckle Bom type cranes and 6 Lattice Bom Crane type cranes were delivered.
